Hong Kong: CBD and cannabis regulation, August 2022

All cannabis plants are considered equal in Hong Kong law, which means that even low-THC hemp varieties are subject to the same restrictions as high-THC cannabis. The regulatory environment for hemp appears to be more stringent than it once was in Hong Kong. In June 2022, law enforcement authorities proposed banning the manufacture, import, export, supply, sale, possession and delivery of CBD and any products containing CBD before the end of 2022.
