Move towards granting new US research cannabis licence following slow start

The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued a pre-solicitation notice to approved medical cannabis producers.

This is the next step in securing new suppliers of cannabis for research purposes, which is only now taking place more than a year after a lawsuit successfully forced a change in the monopoly supplier policy granted to the University of Mississippi over 50 years ago.
