Regulatory report: Jilin province, China

Jilin province is the third province in China which is actively working on hemp regulation. There have not been specific regulations made on hemp in Jilin province, but the Department of Public Security stated that it will learn from the regulation of Yunnan Province, the first in China to legalise industrial hemp. The forthcoming regulation will specifically define the terms and characteristics of industrial hemp and regulate cultivation, manufacture and sales of industrial hemp in Jilin province. The draft has not yet been made available to the public. This report provides an analysis of what regulations might look like in all areas from import and export to finished products and extracts.
