Where are we most likely to see changes to medical and recreational cannabis regimes?

Mexico is overall the number one country to watch, rated highly likely to change regulations on both medical and recreational cannabis in the near future.

In fact all of North America could see some movement on regulations – though whether that happens in the US at the federal level is still somewhat unclear. Overall however, the US and Canada are both rated as “likely” to see changes in both medical and recreational cannabis regulations as one continues to advance legislation at the state level and rumours swirl about federal changes, while the other refines its overall regulatory regime and various states and territories also continue to make changes.

Beyond North America places such as Finland, Columbia and South Africa are all expected to bring through changes in both areas in the near future, according to CBD-Intel’s latest report and database on the status of medical and recreational cannabis regimes in 50 major jurisdictions.
