Poland: The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the new regulation on hemp will come into force on Saturday, 7th May. The regulation increases the THC limit from 0.2% to 0.3%. It also extends the list of purposes for which industrial hemp can be grown to textiles, chemicals, paper, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, energy, seed production, food, veterinary and beekeeping purposes, among others. Hemp cultivation will no longer be monitored by local authorities but by the National Centre for Agricultural Support (KOWR).

Poland: The Supreme Administrative Court has ruled that extracts from hemp flowers and fruiting tops, including CBD, fall under EU food safety rules, media reports. The ruling overturns the earlier decision of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) to withdraw from the market a product consisting of capsules filled with hemp plant tops produced by the Polish company Kombinat Konopny.
