Serbia: The producer of hemp flowers with 0.3% THC, which became available in Serbia a few months ago, has said the product is intended as a decorative souvenir. Canexus told media the flowers were not smokable or intended for human consumption, as indicated on the label. Hemp may be grown in Serbia for industrial purposes, which does not include the production of food or consumer products. The legal situation is made more complex because the launch of the product coincided with the suspension of further distribution of hemp tea after distributors were warned it was illegal. While the authorities have not made any public comment, sales of hemp tea have not resumed.
