Cannabis and cannabinoids in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka: In answer to a parliamentary question, industries minister Ramesh Pathirana said the government was awaiting approval from the attorney general before starting the legal procedures necessary to legalise medical cannabis, press reports. However, he said once the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) has given its approval, cultivation could begin, overseen by the board.
