Argentine bill to establish legal cannabis industry set to be passed ‘within weeks’

Argentina’s Chamber of Deputies is expected to approve a bill creating a legal framework for the cultivation, manufacture and sale of medicinal cannabis and hemp “within two months”,

congresswoman Carolina Gaillard has told CBD-Intel in an exclusive interview.

“I think soon, very soon, we’re going to approve the law that creates a regulatory framework for productive development,” Gaillard, of the ruling Everyone’s Front (Frente de Todos) coalition, said. “The law will be approved within two months approximately, followed by a period when the framework will be created and the agency that will regulate all the permits, authorisations and licences will be formed.”
