Update nearly doubles the length of UK FSA’s novel food applications list

The list of products linked to novel food applications in the UK has nearly doubled in length with the addition of 2,446 products by the Foods Standards Agency (FSA).

There were 3,535 products on the list when it was first published on 1st April. Most of those newly added relate to applications which were submitted to the FSA before the 31st March deadline but lacked required details; around 700 others were added to correct a “clerical error”.
