UK ASA says no to CBD web guidance on under-age use and maximum daily dose

CBD companies must follow UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidelines on their websites – even though the non-binding guidelines are recommendations only.

Two new rulings from the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) that form part of a wider campaign demonstrate this. The rulings against Vape Life (trading as CBD Life) and Excite for Life were made for saying CBD was safe for under-18 consumption, as well as referencing outdated maximum daily intake guidance.
