One in five older adults in the US use cannabis, either for recreational or medical reasons, based on a recently published survey.
According to the University of Michigan’s National Poll on Healthy Aging, whose latest results were published earlier this month, 21% of surveyed adults aged 50 and above said they used cannabis in the past year while 12% admitted using it at least once a month.
Besides risks related to use without medical advice, researchers identified some hazardous behaviours.
