CBD and cannabis on Australia’s horizon – but don’t thank Labor government

CBD products may start to appear on the Australian market but it will not be due to any action taken by the newly elected Labor government, according to industry insiders.

Approval for over-the-counter CBD products – allowed under current regulations but so far lacking a single product approval – should start to roll in over the short term but this is based on legislation passed prior to the Labor victory in the May national elections, according to Paul Mavor, chief operating officer and founder of medical cannabis brand Health House International.
