Two North American companies have announced collaborations with established drug delivery firms to produce and expand distribution for oral CBD strips – soluble strips that dissolve in the mouth.
Tilray, one of the largest cannabis companies, has signed a licence, development and supply agreement with IntelGenx, an oral drug delivery company. Together the two Canadian companies will fund, develop and commercialise an oral film product with medical cannabis and adult-use purposes.
Meanwhile, California-based Chemesis International will partner Rapid Dose Therapeutics, a Canadian biotechnology company, to distribute QuickStrips Oral Thin Strips in California and Puerto Rico.
