‘Final call’ as UK FSA prepares to update validated CBD novel food application list

The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has confirmed it will now update its list of products linked to validated CBD novel food applications to reflect those that can produce evidence that they are linked to a credible application and were on the market before February 2020. It is also expected to add to the list to address a number of products and brands said to have been left off in error, but has not confirmed that this will be the case.

The FSA issued a final call today, 21st April, for evidence linking products to applications on the public list. It said companies had until 26th May to submit evidence linking their products to a credible application, which the FSA would then assess and update the public list twice before 30th June as necessary, with the first update expected “very shortly”.
