Kushly must pay refunds through FTC over health claims, others may follow

Kushly is the first – but potentially not the last – CBD company to be forced to provide refunds to consumers through the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The Arizona-based company and its sole officer, entrepreneur Cody Alt, were the subject of an “administrative complaint” by the FTC for making unsubstantiated health claims for a range of products containing CBD, including gummies, softgel capsules and topical ointments, both on Kushly’s website and on social media.
