Discount supermarket chain Lidl has removed foods containing hemp from its stores in Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands amid concerns that the products contain excessive levels of THC.
Cookies, tea and protein bars from Czech manufacturer Euphoria Trade – which calls itself the world’s biggest cannabis food producer – were pulled from Lidl shelves across Germany, along with cold-pressed Vita D’or organic hemp oil made by German firm Brändle and Solevita hemp tea by Austrian beverage producer Hermann Pfanner Getränke.
