Cannabis growers in Massachusetts have indicated they may sue the state’s Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) over a dispute that appears to have delayed the start of legal sales there.
The threat was made by the Massachusetts Grower Advocacy Council through its president, Peter Bernard.
As local press reports, ill feeling has arisen over the mandated agreements between the cannabis businesses and their “host” towns.
The CCC will not consider an application for a licence – required for selling cannabis in Massachusetts – until contractual agreements have been reached with the “host” community.
Meanwhile GFA Federal Credit Union has become the first financial establishment in Massachusetts to offer its services to recreational cannabis companies.
