Responsibility to the community: Hawaii’s hemp industry reacts to Maui wildfires

Hawaii’s cannabis sector was not immune to the devastation and death brought by the Maui wildfires, which killed at least 114 people earlier this month.

As the island struggles to cope with the emergency, which hit the popular town of Lahaina and its surroundings the hardest, small cannabis businesses are actively contributing to the relief efforts of a community-driven society where medical cannabis has been a legal and regulated reality for over 20 years.
