The Observatorio Español de Cannabis Medicinal (OECM) recently met the country’s Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition (AECOSAN) to discuss the urgent need for CBD regulation.
CBD-Intel has learned that the Guardia Civil is currently undertaking a police operation in Valencia and has confiscated CBD products from at least one company because it lacked a number to show it had been passed fit for human consumption.
Meanwhile, decisions on the future of CBD in Spain could be left to the central government, following a decision of the Spanish Constitutional Court on the division of authority between the state and the regions.
