The growing of hemp for any purpose, including the extraction of CBD, is prohibited in Taiwan by the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act. No change appears to be imminent in the regulatory environment for hemp in Taiwan. Although the public has called on the authorities to legalise medical cannabis, it is unlikely to happen in the near future.
