CBD products appears to be entering the mainstream of US retail. One of the largest retail pharmacy chains in the US, CVS is already selling a range of products in at least eight US states and Walgreens has announced plans to sell the product in nine states.

Kosher product approval achieved by two CBD companies

Two CBD products have received kosher status from the largest agency in Europe dealing with rabbinically-approved foodstuffs.

London-based Advance Biotech received kosher certification from KLBD Kosher Certification in September 2018, followed by Provocan, a CBD brand made by Jerusalem-based company Ciitech, later in the year.

Because CBD oils are ingested orally, they require kosher certification.

LloydsPharmacy may be path to stronger CBD for UK supermarkets

Though Lloyds is a lesser name than Boots among UK pharmacy chains, its partnership with Sainsbury’s means it could be poised to dramatically expand the range of the supermarket’s CBD product offerings.

CBD beverage companies step into the future with nanoemulsions

Companies which make beverages containing CBD are resorting to new technologies to get around a thorny problem.

CBD is not water soluble, meaning a fatty emulsion needs to be created in order to get the substance to mix with a liquid – but canny companies are using a process called nanemulsion, where the molecule sizes are reduced to enable the CBD to mix better with the drink.
