Has Germany walked back its own recreational cannabis legalisation plans?

Some form of work on Germany’s plans to legalise recreational cannabis has been done at the EU level, but European authorities do not want to comment on specifics of Germany’s plans – suggesting that Germany scaled them back of its own accord rather than because of EU instigation.

CannIntelligence came to this conclusion based on the results of an access-to-documents request made by analysts earlier this year. The results also showed the staunch opposition to the EU-level plan by authorities from the German state of Bavaria.
