Legal recreational cannabis sales are expected to begin next year in Minnesota following agreement on a bill in the state’s Congress.

Minnesota’s House and Senate have agreed on a compromise report that will send the bill for the governor’s signature, which is expected to happen soon. Governor Tim Walz of the Democratic Farmer Labor party (the curious local historical “affiliate” of the US national Democratic party) has clearly stated his support for such a measure.
