Switzerland lifted its ban on medical cannabis in 2022. Doctors are now given discretion on when cannabis should be prescribed and no longer have to obtain a special permit from the FOPH, though they must provide it with some information about the patient and therapy. Only products with more than 1% THC require a narcotics prescription.
