UK NHS study first to test CBD and THC drugs together in treatment of epilepsy

Two CBD- and THC-based drugs to treat child epilepsy will be tested in the UK next year in a trial recruiting 500 patients across the country.

The research, to be conducted by investigators at University College London (UCL) and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH), will be co-funded by the National Health Service (NHS) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
