With the exponential growth of the legalisation of medical cannabis internationally and with an increased demand by patients and doctors, the top importing and exporting European countries covered in this report are slowly developing their frameworks with the primary goal of exporting and importing narcotics.
The European countries analysed in this report were selected according to export and import data by the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) for cannabis for medical and scientific purposes in the past three years for which data has been made available. These countries were selected because they were among the top ten European countries for cannabis importing/exporting for at least two out of three years from 2018 to 2020.
