Czech Republic heads towards legal recreational cannabis within a year

Recreational cannabis may become legal and regulated in the Czech Republic within the first half of 2024, as the government prepares to push a bill through Parliament by the end of this year.

The country’s anti-drug coordinator Jindřich Vobořil told a conference in Prague attended by representatives from the international cannabis sector that the new regulation would come into force in the first few months of next year.
