‘Acute need’ – but Ukraine’s medical cannabis bill may lack required support

Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, will continue to consider a bill to legalise medical cannabis beyond the end of the current legislative session because of the expected overwhelming need for cannabinoid medical assistance stemming from the Russian invasion of the country.

However, it is feared that there is not enough support for the bill on the regulation of cannabis for medical, industrial, scientific and technical purposes.
